Mountain Flights

For the past several years Sikkim Tourism Development Corporation has been operating several mountain flight programs on 5-seater Bell 206 Long Ranger aircrafts. Itineraries range from the 20-minute ‘Gangtok Flight’ to the 90-minute ‘Khangchendzonga Flight’ and also includes charters, payable ‘per flying minute’ as well as a scheduled Bagdogra-Gangtok shuttle-service at a fixed rate.

The helicopter services are operational only during peak seasons beginning late spring (around mid-April) till the onset of winter (around mid to late November) and very much dependent on local weather conditions.
